Delete your Asepta account
You can delete your account yourself, any time — here’s how, and exactly what happens to your data.
In the app (fastest)
Open the Asepta app and go to Profile → Privacy & data → Delete my account. Confirm, and the deletion starts immediately — no phone call, no forms.
By email
Prefer to have us do it, or no longer have the app installed? Email admin@asepta.co.za from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it.
What happens when you delete
- 7-day grace period — your account is deactivated immediately, and permanently deleted after 7 days. Change your mind in that window? Just sign back in.
- Your personal data is anonymised — name, email, phone number, addresses and device tokens are removed.
- Legally required waste records are retained — environmental law requires us to keep waste-tracking records for 5 years, but after deletion they no longer contain your personal identifiers.
